Cowards: Mandalay Bay Security Guards Hid in Restaurant During Oct 1st Shooting

2

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department body-worn camera video footage shows that on the night of the October 1 mass shooting, police found five Mandalay Bay security officers hiding in a restaurant on the casino level of the hotel instead of protecting customers.

According to an LVMPD 911 Communications Center dispatch log, at 10:37 p.m.  on October 1, 2017, the officer identified as 3Mary15, who is inside the Mandalay Bay Hotel calls in and states, “I’m with a four-man group, we’re clearing the casino floor right now.”

3Mary15’s BWC shows several Mandalay Bay security officers patrolling on the casino floor as the police team is clearing various venues inside the hotel.  The BWC footage has no time/date stamp.  Audio from the BWC was correlated with the police radio dispatch log to obtain the approximate times for this story.

When the footage begins you can clearly see a uniformed Mandalay Bay security officer laying on the floor getting patted down by the police.  Why the police would be doing a pat down of security officers is unknown.

At 1:25 into the video 3Mary15 who is armed with a shotgun yells out to hotel guests that are walking on the casino floor; “Do not try to run, you’re going to get yourself shot.”

At 2:54 into the video a security officer walks by the police and is called back by a police officer who asks him if someone can get them to Surveillance.  The S/O tells them that they already have a couple of Metro officers in Surveillance already, and the group then continues on.

At 8:02 into the video two Mandalay Bay uniformed security officers are observed on the casino floor directing guests where to go.  One of the security officers then hands an LVMPD sergeant his master keys.  At the same time, this is occurring, another police officer is telling his group that he heard on the radio that they have a suspect on Tropicana and Koval Lane near an RV. The 911 Communications Center dispatch radio log indicates that transmission went out at 10:43 p.m.

At 9:50 into the video you can see a Mandalay Bay security bike patrol officer passing in front of the House of Blues restaurant and he keeps walking by.

One of the police officers then directs his group’s attention to the left which is the entrance to the restaurant, noticing some people inside to the rear.  He gives the command, “Hands up everybody, start walking this way.”

Ten people start walking towards the police from the rear of the restaurant.

Four appear to be guests, one is a restaurant employee wearing an apron, and five are uniformed Mandalay Bay security officers.

One is wearing the yellow shirt and black shorts of a security bike patrol officer who is equipped with a radio and appears to be armed with a weapon on his right side.  They are all patted down and told where to go.

Branden Powers To Open Metal Themed Pizza Joint Downtown Las Vegas

1

Branden Powers, the personality driven hospitality genius behind Evel Pie and the Golden Tiki has been giving hints about a new place for some time.

We’ve learned through an inside source downtown what he’s working on, and it may be his coolest idea yet.

Branden has been telling people about his idea for a Chucky Cheese clone for years, but now he’s actually doing it: Heavy Metal Pizza Party will be a ShowBiz/Chucky Cheese Pizza for Adults.  Featuring heavy metal bands like Slayer, ACDC, Iron Maiden on videos playing in the background, it will also have everything from classic pinball and arcade games to the best pizza in town. And yes, will have Branden Powers doing what he does best: driving traffic and doing weird things.

It’s also been rumored to have “hints of unicorns and wizards,” whatever that actually means. I assume it will be awesome though.

Speaking of the Pizza, they have consulted with Local Pizza Godfather John Arena to consult with them to make the best Detroit style Pizza downtown.

The joint will open at 1212 Mainstreet, next to Casa Don Juan.

Gwen Stefani’s Vegas Show Can’t Sell Tickets

0

Gwen Stefani is not doing well in Vegas, according to insider reports — with most shows having as much as 25% of the seats available even a week in advance.

For months until the end of December, there are thousands of seats available which is strange since most headliners and residencies in Vegas are sold out and tickets given to gamblers and VIPs. However, it seems that no one is demanding these tickets and they are being sold at staggering discounts.

GoodSeats is even advertising that they are selling tickets up to 75% off.

VegasDave, Owner of Most Expensive Mike Trout Baseball Card Collection, Value Doubles in One Month

0

Dave Oancea, or better known as VegasDave, has beaten Vegas for over 20 million dollars.

In the middle of May, Dave purchased the very rare, 2009 Bowman Chrome Draft Mike Trout Superfractor Autograph Card

He purchased it on ebay for $400,000.  This was before Mike Trout’s 1000th game milestone. VegasDave, who owns the world’s most expensive Mike Trout collection, which was valued at 1 million before Mike Trout’s 1000th game.

The card was delivered from a seller in Taiwan in person in Las Vegas.

Dave has always been known to be a risk taker.  He is known for his long shot bets on the Kansas City Royals winning the World Series in 2015 and his call that the Broncos would win the Superbowl in 2016, which he called in the preseason; both in which he made millions

Currently, he is in the midst of lawsuits.  According to his representatives, Dave beat Las Vegas casinos for millions and they refused to pay him because they are accusing him of having an incorrect Social Security number on his players card.  Dave is fighting these allegations in pursuit of the money the Las Vegas casinos have failed to pay him.

He went back to sports collectibles until he’s back in the casinos.

“When the casinos banned me, I was bored,” he said. “I don’t like to play the stock market so this is what I did.”

Now, Dave owns the largest Mike Trout collection known to man:   “I just felt that Trout’s the best player. Someone told me you’ll never find a Red Trout, you’ll never find the Super and you’ll never find the Orange,” he said. “Within one year I found the Super, a Red and eight Oranges.”

None of these cards were cheap for Dave and when he finally saw the Superfractor on Ebay for $500,000, he attempted to buy it.

The request was denied:   “I was kind of pissed off,” Oancea said. He told the seller, “You’re showboating. Why even list it? And he said, ‘You’re right. I’ll take it off.’” And that’s what the seller did.

It became available shortly after from a different seller in Taiwan, and Dave offered $300,000.  The seller counted at $400,000 and Dave hit the “Buy It Now” button:   “I could have negotiated. I didn’t want to nickel and dime him so I hit the Buy It Now,” he said. “Everyone had the opportunity but I’m the only one that had the balls to hit the bid.”

Normally, it’s very risky to buy a card that’s less than 10 years old, but Dave claimed there was no risk when he bought the card in May:   As for the Trout Superfractor Autograph, Oancea is confident with his purchase and what the future holds, “Someone could offer me $2 million tomorrow and I would say no. I’d rather hold it and have the accomplishment of breaking the record for the highest paid card.

Now, fast forward to June.  Dave’s risk has paid off.  After Mike Trout’s career milestones achieved at 1000 games, his collection value has doubled in one month.  The collection is now estimated to be worth 2 million or more.

Britney Spears To Return To Vegas with $500k Per Show Residency at MGM’s Park Theater

0

Ever since Britney ended her highly successful “Piece of Me” residency show after a four-year run at Planet Hollywood Resort, rumors have abounded that she would return to Sin City in 2019 for a different residency show at a different property.

According to Britain’s The Mirror, that’s exactly what’s happening, and Britney will be getting a haul of money, too.

“Britney has pretty much verbally agreed to return for a very significant fee,” a source told The Mirror. “Her show is more of a performance so she won’t have to sing all the lyrics. It will be reworked from ‘Piece Of Me,’ and built around the anniversary of her debut hit Hit Me Baby.”

The report says Britney is set to perform at the Park Theater, and she’ll pocket a guaranteed $500,000 per show. While that’s a pretty penny, she may be worth it. According to estimates, her previous “Piece of Me” show grossed around $138 million.

The report says that Britney’s $500k payday will make her the highest paid act on the famous Las Vegas Strip, which includes headliners such as Celine Dion, Bruno Mars, Gwen Stefani, Jennifer Lopez and Cher.

On Dec. 31, 2017, Britney performed her last “Piece of Me” show, which garnered $1,172,200, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

“Four years, who knew,” Spears said as she left the stage that night.

Britney helped usher in a new wave of artists willing to do residency shows. Whereas Vegas was often thought of as a place for older artists to relive their glory years, Britney was one of the first younger artists to agree to a residency show. Many other younger artists have followed suit and have their own Vegas shows.

Park Theater MGM said there was no announcements yet.

Vegas Sex Offenders Finally to Be Posted Online After 10 Year Block

0

Officials say the names of up to 7,200 registered sex offenders in Nevada are due to be posted on a state website Oct. 1, after the state Supreme Court lifted a block on enforcement of a 2007 state law.

A lawyer who two years ago won a delay of enactment of the law on behalf of 17 unnamed plaintiffs says she’ll keep arguing that the law is unconstitutional.

Attorney Margaret McLetchie says that if mistakes are made publishing someone’s name, it can’t be undone.

The Nevada Department of Public Safety says the unanimous court decision on April 27 aligns Nevada with the federal Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act of 2006.

It will list offenders in three tiers, from the most dangerous in Tier 3 to those assessed as least likely to reoffend in Tier 1.

Jaime Foxx Accused in Vegas Criminal Complaint of Slapping Woman with Penis

0

According to TMZ, a woman filed a report with the Las Vegas Police Department, claiming the Oscar-winning actor Jaime Foxx beat  her in the face with his penis after she refused to perform oral sex on him at a party he was hosting in 2002.

Foxx learned about the 16-year-old allegation when TMZ reached out for comment.

“Jamie emphatically denies that this incident ever occurred, and he will be filing a report with the Las Vegas Police Department against the woman for filing a false police report against him,” his lawyer, Allison Hart, said in a statement. “The first time [Jamie] became aware of this woman’s absurd claims about an incident that supposedly occurred 16 years ago was when TMZ contacted his representatives [Tuesday] about this story.”

“The alleged incident was not reported to law enforcement in 2002, or at any other time in the last 16 years until last Friday because the incident never happened,” the statement concluded.

The accuser, whose identity has not yet been revealed, cites the #MeToo movement as inspiration for coming forward after all these years. She told TMZ she was asked to leave the party, and went to a Los Angeles hospital the next day for treatment for a panic attack she suffered after alleged incident.

Arrests Start in Money Laundering Ring Connected to Hakkasan and Wolf of Wallstreet

1

Working with US Authorities to recover money stolen and laundered from the 1MBD Malaysian fund, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption police have issued arrest warrants for financier Low Taek Jho and two others.

According to Bloomberg, “The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission has also issued an arrest warrant for Nik Faisal Ariff Kamil, a former official at a 1Malaysia Development Bhd. unit, according to one of the people. The agency is preparing warrants for the fund’s ex-chief, Shahrol Halmi, and Roger Ng, a former Goldman Sachs banker focused on Malaysia who left the firm in 2014, the people said.”

The DOJ had accused the assets of the fund to be used illegally to buy various things including, according to a filing in 2016, a $51 million New York penthouse condominium and a $31 million Beverly Hills mansion bought in 2014 by Khadem al Qubaisi, the former managing director of Abu Dhabi’s International Petroleum Investment Co. Al Qubaisi, who’s also the former chairman of restaurant and nightclub operator Hakkasan Group, received $473 million siphoned from 1MDB in 2012, according to the U.S. Justice Department.

U.S prosecutors, pursuing a kleptocracy asset recovery initiative, had claimed the 2013 film Wolf of Wallstreet, directed by Martin Scorsese and starring Leonardo DiCaprio, was financed by Red Granite using funds stolen from 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) — and in the end the Wolf of Wall Street producers to pay $60m to US government for the stolen funds.

According to Magnetic Mag, ” Following another recent turning point in a now rapidly expanding international investigation, it has now been proven that at least $10 million of the funds used to finance Las Vegas nightclub Hakkasan were unlawfully transferred from Malaysian government entity 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB). Over the past year the 1MDB scandal has unfolded into global conspiracy of unprecedented magnitude, linking numerous politicians, bankers, venture capitalists and entertainers around the world to roughly $3.5 billion in misappropriated funds.”

OJ Simpson Violates Parole Again with Drunk Night in Vegas

0

OJ Simpson has violated his Parole again with a public drunk display at a local bar that caught the attention of more than a few locals. According to insiders, he was drinking at the Grape Street Wine Bar, and people were lined up to buy him drinks. He got so drunk that he had to wander into the bathroom to throw up. The conditions of Juice’s parole allow him to “consume alcoholic beverages but not to excess.” O.J. will occasionally be tested for it, but if his BAC is under .08   there’s no issue.

So why isn’t he being violated? Because the Department of Parole and Probation in Nevada is closed on the weekend, and he’s not doing tests on Saturday or Sunday. So he’s being photographed completely drunk, but 72 hours later he’s “in the clear.”

One witness, is the former manager of Wolfgang Puck’s Spago, and a restaurant in Downtown Summerlin, Darren Levaton. He was at the bar when OJ Simpson was drunk. According to him, “t was really pathetic to see a group lining up to buy OJ drinks to the point he could barely walk.”

Levaton continued that he was so drunk, that “he almost fell into me going to the bathroom and then almost fell down leaving. At least he left his car and Ubered it home.”

Patrons upset that OJ Simpson was allowed there, drunk, started tweeting on Twitter including famed Blogger Scott Roeben of Vital Vegas.

Not everyone was upset he was there, but no one wanted to talk to me on record. Most just called me a “liar” and threatened to sue me.

Michael D Burgess, who is in one of the photos with OJ, said he was angry that the photo was up as it the “intention is to do me financial harm.”  He seemed to be an employee and perhaps manager of the restaurant, but wouldn’t identify himself and said he wasn’t commenting on OJ.

This isn’t the first time OJ has been in trouble in Vegas. He was kicked out of the Cosmopolitan after also being drunk and causing a disturbance.

Since Parole and Probation was closed, I posted on Twitter to them and they responded:

You can read and leave reviews of the bar he was at here.

Activist Laura Loomer Blocked by LVMPD on Twitter, LVMPD Apologizes

0

In news that you may or may not care about, conservative activist Laura Loomer was blocked by Metro’s traffic bureau. Loomer, known mainly for her investigative exposés of left-of-center groups, has been a thorn in the side of LVMPD lately, publishing articles questioning the integrity of the current Sheriff.

He even had a press skirmish with Loomer, in a weird conversation where he seems to threaten them with arrest.

Strangely, LVMPD has confirmed that she was indeed blocked.

Loomer told us that she is still blocked by the Sheriff on his account.
