Easter Seals Employee Quincy Starks Accused of Indecent Proposal with 14 Year old Girl

0

Accusations have been levied against an employee of Easter Seals who regularly deals with children, that he was inappropriately flirting with an underage girl of fourteen years old. In screenshots provided to PaceVegas by concerned parents, they show an adult male under the name of Quincy Starks, who claims to work for Easter Seals Nevada.

In the screenshots the adult, Quincy Starks attempts to have a conversation with the under age girl, and among other things, tells her to “come put me to bed,” and “I see the way yu (sic) be looking at me,” and claims the he almost “said something inappropriate.” In another message he tells the 14 year old that she is “hella thick”

The parents reportedly found the messages that were written last year only recently, and confronted the family. The wife of the man, a Taylor Briaun Starks defended his actions, asking that everyone stop talking about the possible solicitation and deal with it privately.

Easter Seals Nevada has not returned my calls during after hours, but told a parent who called, that they were “aware of the situation, and dealing with it.”

Teacher Arrested for Soliciting Student for Sex had Criminal Record

0

Using Snapchat, a teacher of the Clark County School District, Garic Andrew Wharton II solicited sex from a 16 year old student, even asking her if she could be trusted because he knew he would get in trouble.

The girl had reported the contact by “Mr.G,” after he had approached the girl in school expressing interest in her sexually, asking for her name — and then looked her up on Snapchat. He then propositioned her sexually, saying he was going to teach her sexual acts and that they needed to hookup.

Despite claiming to do extensive background checks on teachers, PaceVegas learned that the teacher in question had a criminal record including two arrests for Drunk Driving, one in 2010 and another in 2015. While it is not known if those are nromally disqualifying offenses, arrests like this usually show a lack of trustworthiness and should have alerted CCSD to issues.

How do Vegas Club Sites JackColton, VivaVegas.tv, NoCoverNightClubs and others compare?

0

Vegas nightclubs have become in many ways a new epicenter of Vegas life. People come to Vegas, often driven by celebrity DJs and a promises of a good time filled with the sexiest models on the planet. Part of that is a culture of electronic dance music, club life and series of websites that promise not only to get you the best deals but reveal the hidden life of club-goers.

We were curious how these sites compare: are they as big as they claim, do people actually visit them, and what are their audiences. I’ve avoided the big sites that are “all about Vegas” because while they are huge, and drive visitors, they don’t target the “club goers.”

One of the surprises I found was that VivaVegas.TV, which claims to be a large site for Vegas clubs, statistically has no traffic according to Alexa.com. That means that less than a few thousand people visit the site a month, making it almost invisible to visitors. It had a global rank of 7,166,854 and a US Rank of 4,061,064. To compare it, PaceVegas.com’ rank in the United States is 149,608. Any traffic that goes to the site is basically “by accident” with a few people dripping in from search, social media and other sources here and there. For all intensive purposes, the site is dead.

JackColton, recently taken over again by Jack Colton is doing well. Despite a crash at the start of the year, its been growing exponentially and is ranked as one of the top 100,000 websites in the nation at 67,582. Its exponential growth into the summer means that it will easily be one of the top websites about club for a long time coming. They get almost 22% of their traffic from search, with a great deal of the traffic coming from searches for beach clubs, and specifically looking for “Jack Colton” information. Their audience is almost all men, who are college graduates and one of the higher income levels of all the sites.

NoCoverNightclubs is a substantial site, bigger than JackColton – and gets over 50% of its traffic from search. It’s ranked 56,000 in the United States in traffic. They have obviously done a great deal of SEO and use that to their advantage to grow their audience based on that pattern. NoCoverNightclubs was originally a project between Jack Colton and Mike Kelly, which ended badly with some horrible accusations that the project was stolen. It’s a heavy male audience with a considerable amount of the audience college educated.

Discotech.me is an app that drives enormous amount of traffic to it’s partners via mobile. It’s also heavily competing with both NoCoverNightclubs and is ranked very similarly at 62,100 in the United States traffic wise. A whoping 65% of all its traffic comes from search, mainly focused on DJ searches in Las Vegas being the top search terms. It’s almost exclusively a male audience either in college, or graduating college with a younger profile of visitors than the other sites.

Electronic.Vegas is the biggest of the sites we compared, with an almost exclusive EDM, DJ focused audience. 50% of the visitors come to the site from search, exclusively on EDM music search terms and pool party terms. The audience is the youngest of the sites, and while there are college educated people, it has a lower household income and free spending than the rest of the sites. Also, like the others, its typically a male audience.

One interesting thing about all the sites was that their social media engagement was almost non-existent. While they had Facebook pages, all of them had almost no traffic, no engagement, no views. I compared it to our Las Vegas is Fabulous, which has substantial engagement – and found that they all had almost no visits. Some of the them literarly had no one liking the page week after week. They all really need to consider investing in social media, even if it means recreating their Facebook pages.

So to Summarize if you’re looking to buy media, work with a company to promote your product:

1) JackColton: Awesome audience, high income, very reputable owner and highly regarded. Great place to market high end bottle service, people who know their clubs and not just going for the music.
2) NoCoverNightclubs: Good audience, medium income, mainly search focused, reputation isn’t as good as JK.
3) Discotech.me, Mainly dance audience, club goers, younger less affluent income.
4) Electronic.Vegas: largest audience, youngest audience and the less affluent audience. Could be great to “fill” in a club.
5) VivaVegas.TV: Dead. Fork in it, nothing there. Waste of money, waste of time.

Another Vegas Teacher and College Football Star Caught Trying to have Sex with Student

0

A 25-year-old substitute teacher is the latest Las Vegas-area school employee to face sex-related charges after authorities say he used social media to solicit sex from a 16-year-old female student.

Garic Wharton II was being held Friday without bail at the Clark County jail pending an initial court appearance Monday on a felony charge prohibiting sexual conduct between school employees and students.

It wasn’t clear from the jail record if he had an attorney.

Wharton is the 12th district employee arrested since last summer on allegations of inappropriate or illegal behavior with students.

District officials say he was hired as a substitute at South Academic Center in February, and was fired in May after school police began to investigate a tip from a student.

Wharton played football at the UA from 2010-13, leaving before what would have been his senior season. The Las Vegas native was widely viewed as one of the fastest players in Wildcats history; he caught a 40-yard touchdown pass in the UA’s 2013 Territorial Cup loss to Arizona State.

New Law Passed to Prevent “Passing of Trash” in School Sex Abuse Cases

0

If you haven’t been paying attention, a lot of people are concerned about the Clark County School District, and its growing sex abuse problem. Making the problem worse, teachers with a history of improper relationships with students resign to avoid potential legal battles — rather than be fired by school districts — and are rehired by other districts, a cycle that educators and lawmakers often refer to as “passing the trash.”

The new law not only requires reporting of all suspected child abuse, from volunteers to employees, but prevents those who have committed such acts from ever working with children again in any setting in Nevada.

It also requires applicants to disclose if they have been trouble anywhere for a sexual offense, including investigations and complaints. If an applicant hides these investigations, they will be subject to penalties under the law.

According to reports by USA TODAY, the federal government does not maintain a database of teachers who have sexually abused children. Further, the investigation found that education officials regularly cover up evidence of abuse by keeping the allegations secret and making it easy for abusive teachers to find jobs elsewhere.

Marijuana Sales May Be Blocked in Vegas by Alcohol Lobby

0

After a hard-fought win to begin the early roll-out of cannabis sales in Nevada, the alcohol industry blocked the July 1st planned start date in court on Wednesday, May 30th. The judge’s ruling extends the May 31st deadline for applications and also mandates that any licenses issued must be to “a person holding a wholesale [alcohol] dealer license…”

The Independent Alcohol Distributors of Nevada filed the lawsuit which challenged the issuance of licenses in a way that broke with the language and intent of Question 2, the ballot measure to passed in November. Under the measure, cannabis was supposed to be regulated like alcohol, and the group further argued the language of the measure gave the right exclusively to alcohol distributors for the first 18 months of sales — although, the measure does say this can be waived, if the “department determines an insufficient number of marijuana distributors would result from this limitation.”

“The statute clearly gives a priority and exclusive license to alcohol distributors, in order to promote the goal of regulating marijuana similar to alcohol,” the temporary restraining order explained. The Judge’s ruling is likely to delay the July 1st launch.

The attorney for the distributors, Sam McMullen told Las Vegas Review Journal (RJ), “We just want our rightful place. We don’t want to slow this down inordinately.”

The Nevada Tax Department did reach out to distributors early on, but no one distributing alcohol was interested in doing it because they are also licensed on the Federal level by the ATF — making their distribution possibly illegal. In March, the department decided that it would open the applications for distribution licenses beyond alcohol distributors.”

The Tax Department pushed through temporary rules earlier this year after legislation was pushed to do the same, which would help the state more quickly collect some of the expected 70 million in tax revenue to flow in for the first two years.

The Department of Taxation spokeswoman Stephanie Klapstein said, “The Department is reviewing the temporary restraining order with legal counsel, and we intend to defend our regulations to the fullest extent of the law.

Young Woman Kidnaps Teen and Sexually Assaults her in Vegas

0

Kasandra (Sandra) Sarabia, 22 years of age was arrested this past week on charges that she kidnapped a 13 year old girl, then sexually assaulted her.

According to records, she stopped her car in front of the kid’s home a month ago, and convinced her to get in the car. She then drove to an apartment complex at 3729 Progress Circle, where she gave her alcohol and assaulted her sexually.

The girl had contacted a friend via text message and informed her that she needed help. Using the location of the iPad, police were able to track down the girl and save her.

Worse, the plan according to the woman, was that both her and her boyfriend were going to pick up random underage girls and assault them together. If they had not been caught, this might have been the first of a string of assaults on young women.

She is facing nine charges including sexual assault against a child, conspiracy to commit kidnapping and lewdness with a child.

Hakkasan Still Hasn’t Merged with SBE and Accounts Overdue according to Government

0

In late March, SBE and Sam Nazarian announced that they would be merging with Hakkasan to create a mega-nightclub-restaurant-hotel company that would take over the hospitality world. Sam Nazarian was so excited about it, he even started a PR tour, saying the “merger is expected to close within 60 days.”

It’s now the end of May, and there has been no merger yet.

Making this even stranger in our opinion, is that we are told by a source within the company that when CEO Neil Moffitt jumped ship in April, right after the merger announcement, he did it without signing the accounting books.

Whatever this means, it seems it may have had an effect on the company’s merger, because they are also now 60 days overdue filing the accounts with the UK Government as required by law.

While this probably isn’t anything but a hiccup in the proposed merger, let’s remember that Nazarian is a GENIUS when it comes to nightlife and after the issues with his Vegas Hotel, is very, very careful about what he gets into.  And, for the rest of us, it does add a little bit more mystery into the finances of Hakkasan.

VIDEO: Horny Thieves Steal Butt Plugs and Condoms, Twice

0

Can’t make this stuff up: In an absolutely hilarious caper, a pair of horny thieves in Las Vegas seemingly had some big plans for the holiday weekend, breaking into a warehouse twice — and escaping with tens of thousands of condoms and over $10,000 worth of sex toys.

At about 7:45 p.m., the security cameras captured two men entering through a back gate and walking away with two shipping boxes filled with the company’s Lelo Hex condoms. Each box, says the company, contained 15,120 individually wrapped condoms.

Not satisfied with all the condoms, they came back, rammed the car through the front door, and decided to steal more stuff, focusing on butt plugs.

Somehow, reading about the butt plugs the men stole only makes the heist more hilarious. They aren’t really butt plugs, but instead prostate massagers.

The HUGO prostate massager is remote controlled, and LELO says it products the “most powerful orgasm known to man.”

It’s not clear why these men stole 33 HUGOs when the company’s solid gold butt plugs were assumedly also in the warehouse. The EARL, a solid 24-karat gold butt plug, is supposedly for the “distinguished gentleman,” but apparently the butt plug bandits fancy themselves commoners as far as anal play is concerned.

“What kind of party are these people having?” Lelo asked in its blog post, tongue firmly in cheek. “We could have done the sponsorship or something. A friggin’ invite might have been nice.”
