Metro police officer is the center of a possible fraud investigation. Metro Lieutenant Juanita Goode has been with Metro for more than 15 years. Tuesday morning she appeared in court on felony charges of falsifying mortgage loan papers.
Metro has confirmed it is conducting an internal affairs investigation. Goode was charged along with loan officer Jesus Vega, realtor Shelly Rego, and a woman named Melissa Welch.
The district attorney says the group falsified documents to show Lt. Goode had an additional income in order for her to get a loan back in 2004.
