David Moradi, a former New York fund manager, has won $160,500,000 in a lawsuit against the Las Vegas Cosmopolitan Hotel and Casino in connection with a beating that occurred in the Marquee Day and Nightclub.
Moradi’s attorneys claimed successfully, that after the manager and security approached him in the club about a “problem with his signature” that they threw him violently on the grown and slammed his head on the hard surface.
According to the suit, security guards and a manager repeatedly bashed his head into concrete while demanding to see his ID again. The suit notes that security had no authority to imprison and detain Mr. Moradi.
Moradi could be awarded more, as the punitive damages part comes later next week.
