Vegas Cop Robs Casino

Rogers, who has been employed with the department since 2015, is assigned to the community police division, police said.

A Las Vegas police officer was arrested this morning on suspicion of armed robbery at an off-Strip casino.

Caleb Rogers, 33, faces charges of burglary with a firearm, assault with a deadly weapon, and two counts of robbery with a deadly weapon, according to Metro Police.

Officers were called at 6:56 a.m. to a casino in the 4100 block of South Valley View Boulevard after reports of an attempted robbery, police said.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and more charges could be filed. Rogers has been placed on suspension without pay.
