The Democratic National Committee is taking aim at Sen. Dean Heller on Monday with the unveiling of a billboard near the Las Vegas strip and a mobile billboard that will drive around Heller’s office in Las Vegas, The Hill reported.
The billboard contains pictures of Heller smiling at a meeting with President Donald Trump.
The mobile ad includes a looping video of Heller.
“Tell Heller to wipe that grin off his face and start working for Nevadans,” the video ad said.
“Senator Heller broke his promise to improve healthcare for his constituents, voting for a bill that would take healthcare away from millions of Americans. A repeal of the Affordable Care Act would result in as many as 371,000 Nevadans losing their healthcare and cause Nevada to lose 22,100 jobs,” said Tom Perez, the Democratic National Committee chairman, in a statement, The Hill reported.
Heller is seen as the Republican incumbent most in danger of losing his seat in the 2018 midterm elections. In the 2016 election, Trump lost the state to Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.
