Celebrate Dean Martin’s 100th Birthday with Deana Martin at the South Point

Deana Martin fans will be treated to a special show honoring her father, the King of Cool, Dean Martin, on the anniversary of his 100th birthday. Martin will perform two spectacular shows as part of her acclaimed “Deana Sings Dino” concert series with two special guests including The Golddiggers and a mystery addition that will be revealed during the show through the “Surprise Guest Door.” Show dates are Friday, June 23 and Saturday, June 24 at 7:30 p.m. inside the South Point Showroom

Martin’s weekend of shows will precede the “Deana Martin Celebrity Roast” honoring the ‘Man of the Hour,’ singer, entertainer and host of “The Dennis Bono Show,” Dennis Bono, on Monday, June 26 in the South Point Showroom at 6 p.m., with doors opening at 5 p.m. The celebrity roast honors Bono on his 70th birthday and all proceeds raised will be given to the Opportunity Village. From the moment she walks on stage, Martin takes her audience on a musical journey with her nonstop dynamic energy celebrating her legendary father Dean Martin and other great performers who shaped American music and popular culture for over four decades. “Deana Sings Dino” is a fully engaging, classy and contemporary presentation of Dean Martin’s most beloved songs of all time, capturing the swinging sophistication associated with her father and his time with The Rat Pack. In this electrifying musical revue, Martin sings hot new arrangements of enduring hits like, “That’s Amore,” “Volare,” “That’s Life,” “Everybody Loves Somebody”, “Memories Are Made Of This” and more treasured worldwide by her fans, those of her father and two men she refers to as her uncles, Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr.

These special shows have all the essentials of the classic concert entertainment experience, including legendary musical masterpieces, personal and often hilarious recollections from Martin’s life and career, an entire night of audience interaction and her innate vocal ability. Martin is undeniably authentic­­­ and a living connection to the greatest era in entertainment.

As an internationally acclaimed entertainer, Martin has become an instantly recognizable voice and fixture in the pantheon of ‘The Great American Songbook.’ Her 2006 debut CD release, “Memories Are Made of This,” stayed in a top ten sport for 40 consecutive weeks. Her follow-up CD released in 2009, “Volare,” debuted in the top ten of the Billboard charts, followed by “White Christmas,” released in 2011, the critically acclaimed 2013 hit album, “Destination Moon,” and her latest album released in 2016, “Swing Street,” have all garnered airplay on top radio stations in different genres including jazz, standards and country.

In addition to her legendary musical talent Martin is a celebrated author, earning a spot on The New York Times coveted Best Seller list with her memoir, “Memories Are Made of This: Dean Martin Through His Daughters Eyes,” published in 2004. In her memoir, Martin delights in sharing wonderful, never-before-told stories about her father and his ‘pallies.’ To her they were known as, Uncle Frank, as in Frank Sinatra and Uncle Sammy, as in Sammy Davis Jr., but to the rest of the world, they were known as The Rat Pack.

Deana Martin in ‘Deana Sings Dino’ Celebrating Dean Martin’s 100th will be held in the South Point Showroom on Friday, June 23 and Saturday, June 24, beginning at 7:30 p.m. with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are available to those of all ages and can be purchased online or at the South Point Box Office starting at $15.
