MGM Grand announced today it will add China Tang Las Vegas to its distinct culinary portfolio later this year, in partnership with Hong Kong-based hospitality company Lai Sun Dining. This marks the U.S. debut for Lai Sun, which currently owns and manages dozens of restaurants worldwide, including venues in Hong Kong, Macau, Mainland China and London, and has received 10 Michelin stars throughout its establishments.
China Tang Las Vegas will serve Cantonese cuisine heavily influenced by provincial dishes from Sichuan, Shanghai and Beijing. The approachable concept is a first for the traditionally luxurious Lai Sun portfolio.
“Partnering with Lai Sun will add another dimension to the incredible collection of culinary experiences we offer at MGM Grand and in Las Vegas as a whole,” said MGM Grand President & COO Scott Sibella. “The company is known to leave no detail unturned from intricate design to flavorful cuisine – along with special service touch points. Our guests are in for a very memorable culinary adventure from the moment they walk through the door.”
Vice President of Lai Sun Group, Mr. Lawrence Lau said, “Bringing one of our most beloved brands to Las Vegas is a dream come true. The outstanding restaurants and chefs at MGM Grand are genuinely respected by our team as they exemplify first-class dining. We are excited to be a part of the MGM family and look forward to delivering a highly specialized concept on fine Cantonese cuisine that will provide guests with many memorable culinary moments from beginning to end.”
China Tang Las Vegas will be located in MGM Grand’s The District, across from Tom Colicchio’s Craftsteak and Emeril’s New Orleans Fish House. Additional details on China Tang Las Vegas will be made available in the coming months.
