Nevada Clean Energy Champions Featured at Solar Industry Trade Show

Supporters of a clean energy economy for Nevada will in events next week at the Solar Power International conference and trade show, to be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Participants will include members of the RenewNV coalition, including Chispa-Nevada, a statewide organization working to rally Latinos for clean renewable energy, and Vote Solar, a national organization working to make solar energy a mainstream energy resource. Rose McKinney-James, a renewable energy leader in Nevada, also will participate in several panels.

Chispa-Nevada Director Rudy Zamora will speak on a panel on Solar Policies and Disadvantaged Communities on Wednesday, Sept. 14. McKinney-James will moderate the same panel and participate in a luncheon for Professional Women in Solar.

McKinney-James and representatives for Chispa-Nevada and Vote Solar will be available for interviews on clean renewable energy and its promise for jobs, a stronger economy and healthier communities in Nevada.
