Most Dangerous Places for Women in Vegas

Sources claim that the City of Las Vegas will stop prosecuting certain domestic violence crimes — raising additional concerns that local officials are not really concerned about violence against women in a town that seemingly caters to only men. Women have often been told to not report crimes here, because it would “burden” the system. In fact, Nevada has been ranked the #2 most dangerous state for women by the Violence Policy Center

Downtown
When it comes to crime, Downtown Las Vegas gets an F grade. In fact, the overall crime rate in Downtown is 93% higher than the national average. You have a 1 in 20 chance of becoming a victim of a crime here with the highest rate of rape in the State. A google search shows how often rape happens downtown with seemingly a new one reported almost daily.

Wynn Casino and Resort
From the top down, this place has made it clear that their female guests aren’t safe. According to an investigative report by officials, hiding assaults by its own employees including the former Chairman Steve Wynn was commonplace, and executives still in power were behind the conspiracy. Employees of the resort, including of the Spa claim that they are still being routinely harassed and touched by employees — and one said that she is forced to work with her abusive ex-husband, despite restraining orders. We also have had several women tell us about a former employee named “Wayne” that was involved in several reported rapes that were covered up by his girlfriend, an executive in their PR department.

The CCSD Public School System
While spending billions on sports teams, for some reason the public school system has seemingly been abandoned, and worse, they’ve ignored obvious signs of rapists being hired to teach kids. In fact, they didn’t even fire  Dailey Elementary teacher John Stalmach when he was arrested in 2012 for having sex with a 16-year-old Basic High School student. Melvyn Sprowson, a former kindergarten teacher, was put in prison for kidnapping a 16 year old schoolgirl and holding her as a sex slave in his apartment — with teachers seemingly knowing but ignoring it. Over 100 teachers in the last few years have been arrested and charged with raping or touching students.
