Celebrities Who Play Daily Fantasy Sports

0

Celebrities are like average persons when engaging in leisure. Sometimes, you’ll witness some of them in the bleachers supporting their favorite NBA team or even brush shoulders with them in a sports gambling hub.

Fantasy games are quite a craze among a new breed of sports spectators. This sport isn’t dedicated to the common people only. Fantasy games hook a great variety of people in the prominent circle. Celebrities, politicians, and even athletes have signed up for an account on online betting platforms.

What’s Amazing about Daily Fantasy Games?

A fascinating fact about fantasy players is that 45% of them in the US make $75,000 each year. This is almost double the average American’s total earning, which is $33,706 only. This shows that fantasy games are sensational not only because it’s enjoyable but also because it’s profitable.

Essentially, daily fantasy games come in a wide variety of sports. As a participant of the game, you’ll have to build your team with your choice of team players from different existing teams in the real world. This is like a fantasy game but an accelerated variant. Instead of covering an entire season, competitions are held daily or weekly.

Now, let’s go to the fun side. Daily fantasy sports are currently legal in 43 states. This goes to show that many are engaged in this game. Of course, you can experience real fun with a bunch of people who share the same interest as you.

And the populace isn’t swarmed by commoners only. Celebrities are anticipating the game results, too! Take a look at the list of the popular stars who are certified enthusiasts of daily fantasy games.

Jerry Ferrara

The actor behind the character “Turtle” in the comedy movie Entourage is a regular in DFS. In 2017, the American celebrity admitted that he is obsessed with basketball, especially with the New York Knicks!

He once hosted a weekly fantasy football show on SIRIUS XM Fantasy Sports Radio. There he has repetitively mentioned his infatuation for fantasy sports and shared some more advice on daily football fantasy games.

He’s always open about his serious hobby, even confessing that fantasy football became his sacred Sunday event. He’s been in the same fantasy league with his friends for a long time. Moreover, he was grateful that fantasy sports had brought people into his life, who ultimately became his close acquaintances.

His picks from the Colts and the Broncos, along with Jen Piacenti, are even featured in FanDuel’s Pick of the Week!

Seth Meyers

American Comedian Seth Meyers is a member of the fantasy sports players club, too. The NBC’s Saturday Night lead writer and host even shared that he once drafted his football fantasy team when he was reunited with his college folks in Boulder, Colorado.

He even explained how he got his crooked nose from his passion for sports. Before drafting their football fantasy team, his college buddies invited him to play street hockey.

He was giving a game speech telling that they should enjoy the game and that there should be no regrets after the last game. He then found himself on the ground with blood coming out of his nose. He was smashed with a stick by a friend and ended up in the hospital.

He knows how football fantasy has injured his “million-dollar nose,” yet he is immersed in the game and daily fantasy games, fueling his inner child who’s filled with fervor and energy.

Jay-Z

In 2014, Jay-Z was dubbed as the “Greatest Trash Talker in Fantasy Football History.” Back in 2013, the American rapper and songwriter has bagged honors and trophies in music awards. However, he wasn’t as lucky as he’s in music when it comes to fantasy football.

Even so, Jay-Z never stopped drafting his fantasy football teams. He’s currently in the annual football fantasy leagues, but it’s not difficult to believe that he’s playing fantasy sports in shorter terms, like DFS.

Paul Rudd

The 2015 Ant-man lead star is a certified fantasy football player. The latest news of him engaged in a football fantasy game is the video of Rudd trash-talking Robert Downey, Jr., aka Iron Man.

The two were opposite to each other in a fantasy football matchup. He parodied Black Sabbath’s Iron Man music video with mockery, dropping lines, such as “Can he win at all? No he can’t, his team sucks balls“. Moreover, Chris Hemsworth and Karen Gillan have uploaded a video where they are trash-talking on the AGBO fantasy football league’s YouTube Channel, which is jam-packed with the biggest stars.

It seemed like the entire Avengers squad is up for some attacks through publicized dialogues.   Well, buzzes like these are reasonably refreshing now that we are struggling to survive a horrible year.

Takeaway

Celebs are taking DFS to the next level. There’s no doubt that their popularity has heightened the rage of fantasy sports. If more celebrities are caught in the DFS fever, it will thrive as the favorite recreation of the stars.

Exclusive: Tony Hsieh Killed Self in Drug Induced Psychosis

0

Adding to the horrible tragedy of Tony Hsieh, is the revelation from several employees of Zappos that he not only caused the fire that killed him, but had barricaded himself in storage shed during a drug-induced episode.

Internal communications between two executives at the company confirm that employees were well aware of these issues, and had been concerned even while he was still CEO of the company about his mental health.

He started the fire He was out of his mind on whippits He had stopped wearing shoes.

Lost a dramatic amount of weight

Gave up all technology Hired some dude for an exhibit ant amount of money to follow him around with sticky notes posting the time every so often so tony didn’t have to wear a watch.

Hsieh was pulled unconscious from the burning shed attached to a waterfront home in New London, Connecticut, shortly after 3:30 am on November 18. He died in hospital nine days later.

While others were able to get out in time, the former tech exec was inside a “shed that’s attached to the exterior of the house.”

“The male is barricaded inside,” one person can be heard saying in the recording that was archived by Broadcastify. “He’s not answering the door. Everyone else is outside the house they’re trying to get him to open up.”

New London Fire Captain Brian Wrigh has confirmed that people at the home told firefighters Hsieh was “locked inside” and refused to leave the shed.

Investigation into Tony Hsieh’s Death Launched: He “Hid in Closet” During Fire.

The investigation into retired Zappos CEO Tony Hsieh’s death continued early this week. The 46-year-old Hsieh, who spent millions helping transform downtown Las Vegas, died Friday after injuries in a Connecticut house fire.

The son of immigrants from Taiwan, Hsieh (pronounced Shay) helped bring vibrancy back into downtown Las Vegas after it had struggled through years of economic doldrums. The historic Fremont Street casino district is downtown, including longtime properties such as the El Cortez, Binion’s, and the Golden Nugget. The state’s largest resorts are on the Las Vegas Strip, outside city limits.

Labeled a visionary for his work in Las Vegas, Hsieh was injured in a Nov. 18 blaze in New London, Connecticut, according to published accounts. He reportedly was in the area with his brother.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner told the Hartford Courant on Monday that Hsieh’s death was caused by complications of smoke inhalation.

People at the scene said Hsieh had hid himself in a storage area, and locked the doors — with smoke coming out of it, authorities said. T

he investigation into the incident remained active on Monday.

Though officials declined to name the victim in the fire, New London Fire Chief Thomas Curcio told the Hartford newspaper only one fire with injuries occurred that day. This fire was at 500 Pequot Ave., a home owned by Zappos employee Rachael Brown, according to published accounts. The five-bedroom, $1.3-million house is on the Thames River.

The fire chief said crews arrived about 3:30 am and discovered “somebody trapped in a portion of the house.” Firefighters forced their way in, removed the victim, and performed CPR. He was taken to a New London hospital and later flown to the Connecticut Burn Center in Bridgeport. Bridgeport is about 65 miles west of New London.

Employee’s Connecticut Residence

Brown is a longtime Zappos employee living in Las Vegas. Her Facebook page notes she is from Niantic, Connecticut, and attended Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

In Las Vegas, Brown is a cellist with Nina Di Gregorio’s Bella Electric Strings ensemble and David Perrico’s Pop Strings orchestra, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Brown joined Zappos in 2004 as one of the first 100 employees, the company website states. She was hired as a temporary phone representative. After two months, Hsieh promoted her to lead a team teaching employees the company’s core values. On the website, Brown said the company was trusting her “to teach culture before we had core values.”

If someone was a culture fit, I was to help them succeed,” she said.

The 10 core values now include “be humble,” “create fun and a little weirdness,” and “be adventurous, creative and open-minded.”

Hsieh’s Legacy

The former Zappos CEO was honored Saturday with a tribute on the Fremont Street Experience canopy in downtown Las Vegas’ casino district.

In 2009, Amazon bought Zappos for $1.2 billion, retaining Hsieh to run the online shoe-and-clothing company. The term Zappos is an adaptation of “zapatos,” the Spanish word for shoes, according to the New York Times.

Hsieh has been praised for his role in bringing Zappos to an old City Hall building downtown and pledging $350 million to revitalize the area. Among other philanthropic efforts, Zappos offered to cover the funeral expenses of the 58 people killed in a 2017 mass shooting on the Las Vegas Strip.

An unorthodox executive, the Harvard University graduate lived for a time in a 240-foot Airstream trailer in downtown Las Vegas. He paid himself $36,000 a year and sat in a cubicle like other employees, the Times reported.

After more than 20 years with the company, he retired in August and bought homes in Park City, Utah.

Vegas Sinkhole Swallows Restaurant and Missing Employee.

Lindo Michoacan, the famous Mexican restaurant on the eastside, temporarily closed after the owners discovered a sinkhole that opened in the middle of the dining room on November 14 The 30-year-old restaurant closed to address a leaking pipe “causing water damage that may have been going on for some time.”

They said that Lindo Michoacan laid off 80 employees while the restaurant repairs the damage. “The safety of our guests and employees is deeply important to us. We are currently working to fully evaluate the situation, including the extent of the damage so we can repair and be back to our wonderful daily routines, with it, the camaraderie we experienced with our guests.”

One employee has been missing since the incident, and it’s unknown if he escaped or is in the sinkhole.

DJ DIPLO Accused of Evil Revenge Porn in Restraining Order

An anonymous woman has filed a restraining order against Diplo in a Los Angeles County Court. The woman’s attorney Lisa Bloom said the order was filed in order “to block Diplo from distributing revenge porn” that is allegedly “designed to humiliate her and to scare other women out of coming forward.”

The woman, whose name is being withheld for privacy concerns, posted a Twitter thread in October containing numerous allegations against Diplo. In her tweets, she alleged Diplo hired a private investigator against her following an argument “in [an] attempt to scare me into not speaking out on the disgusting details I know about him.” She claims the private investigator told her that he knew her home and work address as well as the work addresses of her parents, statements she interpreted as threats.

One of her replies to her Twitter thread reportedly included an explicit photo of the accuser — according to Bloom, Diplo was the only person other than the accuser who had a copy of the photo. Bloom added that she believes the photo was tweeted by “a front account and a fake account” managed by Diplo or someone close to him. In further tweets, the woman accuses Diplo of recording a sexual encounter without permission. “I SPECIFICALLY asked him not too & his reply was ‘fuck it. I’m recording this.’”

Bloom said Diplo’s accusers went through “an elaborate vetting process” before she agreed to take on the case. “I find [the accuser] to be very credible and to have corroborating evidence in support of her claims,” Bloom said in a statement obtained by The Daily Beast. “I find her to be very credible and to have corroborating evidence in support of her claims.”

Since the tweets were posted, three additional accusers have come forward, Bloom claims. “We are happy to speak for free and confidentially to any girls or women who also may have something against Diplo. We have spoken to a number of them so far and we’re continuing our investigation.”

Nevada Governor Threatens to Close Las Vegas (AGAIN)

0

The Unpopular Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak  has threatened to close down Las Vegas again, if locals don’t “get their act together” and start wearing masks.

Coronavirus numbers continue to soar in Nevada, with 1,322 new COVID-19 cases and seven deaths reported on Tuesday, bringing the statewide totals to 112,304 confirmed cases and 1,859 deaths since the start of the pandemic in late February. Clark County alone has 89,256 cases since the pandemic started, with 1,571 deaths.

Over the past three weeks, Sisolak warned Nevadans that the state is seeing an alarming number of COVID-19 cases and may need to adopt tighter measures.

He says the next two weeks are key to lowering the number of positive cases.

“If you don’t have to go out, don’t go out. Reduce your time in public to what is necessary, and limit any and all exposures to those outside your household,” the Associated Press reports Sisolak saying. “Think about changes like ordering groceries for delivery instead of going into the store, or picking up dinner curbside from your favorite restaurant and instead of sitting indoors with others who are not members of your family.”

Sisolak is calling his new Stay-At-Home 2.0 advice a plea for Nevadans to stay at home, not gather outside their homes, and work from home when possible in the weeks leading up to Thanksgiving.

In March, the state shut down nonessential businesses such as casinos, restaurants, and bar to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Restaurants could continue offering takeout and delivery options, and reopened in early May for dine-in service. Bars reopened in late May, only to see those that did not serve food forced to close again in July. In late September, bars reopened. Casinos reopened in June, with the last on the Strip, The Cromwell, returning in late October.

Nevada still has a mandatory mask order that requires face coverings in public spaces, including outdoors when social distancing is not possible. Businesses that reopened must maintain 50 percent capacity and social distancing.

Staying Safe in Vegas during Covid19

0

When Las Vegas’ nonessential businesses closed their doors in mid-March to help curb the spread of coronavirus, it was the first time the world-famous, neon-lit Strip was shut down since President John F. Kennedy’s funeral in 1963. The usual 24/7 tide of tourists and traffic jams was replaced by a smattering of pedestrians and local families on bicycles, and LED marquees offered well-wishes to the community rather than flashing ads for blockbuster shows and other Sin City excitement.

Visitors began returning in June, and the city has slowly been coming back to life. August saw 1,537,400 visitors, up from 1,065,100 in June, according to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitor’s Authority (LVCVA).

But with conventions on hold and many people unwilling to fly, that’s still a 55 percent decrease from the same period last year.

“We’re very resilient,” said Lori Nelson Kraft, senior vice president of communications and government affairs at the LVCVA, “but it’s going to take awhile to get back to the levels we were at.” In the meantime, the trade organization Downtown Vegas Alliance has launched a “Playcation” promotion encouraging locals to hit the town, and the city is working on possible health-screening systems that would allow lucrative conventions to safely return when restrictions are lifted (current gatherings are limited to 50 people).

For now, tourists have plenty of elbow room. On a recent sunny Wednesday afternoon, social distancing was easy for those walking along the world-famous Las Vegas Strip. Crowds were thin, as handfuls of visitors traversed the sidewalks, escalators and overpasses along Las Vegas Boulevard.

Down the street, tourists wore masks at the “Welcome to Las Vegas” sign, but showed no concern about handing their phones to strangers for photos. A billboard off the nearby interstate touted new touchless check-in options at a local resort-casino.

“There are no lines and much less traffic,” says Scott Roeben, founder of the Las Vegas travel tips website VitalVegas.com, pointing out the upsides of visiting during these strange times: “There’s much less smoke in the casinos and parking is free pretty much everywhere.”

Here’s a snapshot of other changes visitors are finding in Vegas this fall.

Hotels and Casinos
Las Vegas’s resort-casinos reopened in phases without some amenities and with low (yet rising) room rates and a range of health and safety protocols. Those include signs about proper hygiene and social distancing, capacity limited to 50 percent on casino floors and in hotels, strict sanitation measures and face coverings required in all public areas.

Of the city’s 150,000 hotel rooms, 130,000 of them would now be available, but for the half-capacity mandate. Some hotels have only recently reopened, including the vintage Tropicana, which welcomed back guests on Sept. 17 with iconic Las Vegas showgirls, all wearing masks.

When Park MGM/Nomad Las Vegas opened its doors on Sept. 30, it marked the reopening of every MGM Resorts property worldwide. (It also became the first fully smoke-free casino on the Strip — a response to customer demand, not the outbreak, the company says.)

All of MGM Resorts’ properties have a comprehensive safety plan, including COVID-19 testing for employees, physical distancing rules, standalone handwashing stations on casino floors, digital restaurant menus, increased sanitization and electrostatic sprayers to disinfect large public spaces.

Staying Safe in Vegas

• Note the CDC’s guidance that travel raises your risk of infection and “staying home is the best way to protect yourself and others from COVID-19.”

• Be aware that some states have Nevada on their list of high-risk states, requiring that visitors or residents who return from there quarantine for two weeks. Check state restrictions for travelers.

Consult Vegas Smart, the LVCVA’s compilation of safety protocols around the city.

• Before you arrive, download the free contract-tracing app COVID Trace, from Nevada’s Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS); you will be notified through the app if you’re exposed to the virus during your visit.

• Always double-check opening hours of restaurants, bars and attractions, which may have changed during the outbreak.

• Carry your own hand sanitizer and hand-sanitizing wipes. While sanitizer is widely available inside hotel-casinos, you might not find any public dispensers when you’re out on the town.

• Don’t drink from the cups and glasses in your hotel room. While sanitizing has been amped up at many hotels, there’s no guarantee the glasses have been cleaned or replaced (this is true in any city’s hotel room).

Most of the city’s major casinos are also open and following similar protocols. In the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas casino, for instance, gaming floors have been rearranged to accommodate reduced capacities and social distancing. In some cases, there’s plexiglass between players. Tables are limited to three players at a time and onlookers cannot linger behind them. The entire pit, including tables, is sanitized regularly.

There’s reason for caution: Since reopening in June, Wynn Las Vegas has reported 548 positive COVID-19 cases among its employees, according to data gathered as part of the property’s rigorous testing and contact tracing program.

Restaurants and Bars
Many of Las Vegas’ hot spots have reopened for dining, including The Mayfair Supper Club at Bellagio and CATCH at ARIA Resort & Casino. They’re all operating at half capacity and many offer touchless to-go service and/or digital menus for ordering. Tables are spaced out to allow for social distancing, and guests are asked to wear masks while walking to and from tables.

While some restaurants that closed in March will never reopen, new ones are popping up despite the pandemic: Elio began serving Mexican cuisine at Wynn this summer, and Din Tai Fung, the Los Angeles-based dumpling and noodle hot spot, has just opened its first Las Vegas location at ARIA.

That staple of Las Vegas dining, buffets remain closed. The Wynn Buffet had reopened as a redesigned all-you-can eat experience with servers, but closed Sept. 7 due to lack of demand. Caesars Palace recently delayed the reopening of its usually popular Bacchanal Buffet.

Now that coronavirus cases are declining in Nevada, visitors are again able to go to Vegas’ bars, taverns, wineries and breweries. Closed by the state after coronavirus fears in July, they reopened for a second time on Sept. 20. (Some of those serving food were already open, but now visitors can sit at bar tops and play video poker.)

While night clubs and pool parties remain off-limits, some are reopened in new guises — tweaked from high-energy parties into low-key pool hangouts or lounges with socially distanced seating, for instance. Most are without DJs, but they all serve booze.

Entertainment and Activities
There’s no way to know when the show will go on in Las Vegas. Though marquees along the Strip hotels’ facades advertise shows like David Copperfield at MGM Grand and Blue Man Group at Luxor, there has been no live entertainment since March. Modern circus company Cirque du Soleil, a longtime Vegas fixture, filed for bankruptcy protection in late June, though reportedly plans an eventual return. Other long-running productions, including “Le Reve” at Wynn Las Vegas and the Australian vocal quartet Human Nature at the Venetian Las Vegas, have announced they will not be back.

Even so, construction has begun on an all-new theater at Sahara Las Vegas ahead of the premiere of Channing Tatum’s “Magic Mike Live Las Vegas,” planned for spring 2021. December dates are listed on the Colosseum at Caesars Palace website for the headlining residency “Reba, Brooks and Dunn: Together in Vegas,” featuring Reba McIntire, Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn, and Usher has announced a residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace that would start July 2021. But all future shows are contingent on Nevada’s lifting its coronavirus-related restrictions; the state currently bans gatherings of more than 50 people.

Similarly, any activity involving groups of tourists has been modified or canceled: Lip Smacking Foodie Tours, for instance, now offers socially distant, self-guided dining experience in downtown and Chinatown Las Vegas instead of its usual guided tours of the Vegas food scene.d the information you need to benefit every area of your life.

Visitors to the Mob Museum (officially the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement) downtown, are asked to purchase tickets online and arrive 15 minutes early for a contactless temperature check.

Even the classic Vegas shotgun wedding has been transformed: the Graceland Wedding Chapel’s Elvis-themed ceremonies now require face coverings and temperature checks for all in attendance. More cautious lovebirds can marry (though not legally) with the chapel’s help online for $279, while accompanied by an Elvis impersonator singing “Love Me Tender.”

Discotech – The Premier Las Vegas Nightlife App

0
This has been a strange year for Vegas nightlife. The coronavirus has upended life on the strip. The nightly DJ performances have been cancelled. Some dayclubs ((EBCMarquee DayclubDaylight) have reopened but with limited capacity – bottle service only, no general admission. A few nightclubs with outdoor areas are open but instead of being packed to the brim, social distancing is required and mingling with other guests is strongly discouraged.

Nevertheless, the coronavirus pandemic will eventually be over, and partiers will be back on the strip in full force, stronger than ever. Many clubs are targeting the start of pool season – March 2021 – for a possible return to normalcy.

Whether it’s your first time in Vegas or you’re a grizzled veteran, getting into pool parties / nightclubs can often be a pain. Dealing with multiple promoters for different clubs, getting conflicting quotes, getting the bait and switch, showing up and not having your name on the guest list – these are things that have happened at one point to all Vegas nightlife regulars.

Discotech is a free mobile app that simplifies and streamlines the Vegas clubbing experience.
See Which DJs are Spinning

Instead of visiting all the different club websites, you can easily see which artists / DJs are performing the weekend of your trip. Save events and send them to your friends with a few taps on your phone.

Sign up for Guest List

All the Las Vegas nightclubs have some sort of guest list, whether it’s free for everyone, free for even ratio (must have same # or more girls than guys), or free for ladies only (usually on nights with really big talent). In order to get in on the guest list you will typically have to arrive before a certain time. In general early arrival is recommended to avoid long lines, especially on Friday and Saturday night.

Rather than reach out to different promoters to get on the guest list, you can easily add yourself plus your group to the free guest lists with Discotech. Some lists will also have benefits, such as free drink tickets for ladies.

Buy Tickets

If you don’t think you’ll make it to the club before the guest list closes, we recommend buying presale tickets. With tickets, you don’t have to arrive by a certain time – though ticket lines can still be quite long on holiday weekends. Ticket prices range from 20-60+, depending on the day and artist. Discotech also has promo codes available for many of the clubs – check on the app to make sure you’re getting the best deal!

Vegas Bottle Service

If you’ve never gotten table service you might be wondering – how does bottle service work? When you book a table at a club, you’ll have a minimum spend that you’ll need to hit. Essentially you’re renting the space at the table in exchange for the promise that you’ll hit that spend. Las Vegas table minimums can range from $500 to over $20,000 for the DJ table. Each table also comes with a number of admission that can get in via an expedited VIP line. On holiday weekends you may need to prepay the full amount up front to ensure that your table is reserved for you – otherwise if you arrive late or someone else offers to pay more, you may be bumped.

Bottle service in Vegas can be one of the most amazing experiences, but working with traditional promoters can be hit or miss. Discotech has updated pricing available for all the clubs and best Vegas pool parties, and their concierge team is available 7 days a week to ensure that your booking goes smoothly. With over 9k reviews on the app store and google play and a solid 4.9 star rating on both, you can rest assured that you’re in good hands.

In addition to Las Vegas, Discotech also serves all the major US metro markets, as well as major cities in several other countries, including Ibiza, Bali, Barcelona, Tokyo, Vancouver, Mykonos, Paris, Berlin, and more!

Download the app for free on the iOS or Google Play store, or if you prefer you can visit the Discotech website!

Ronaldo’s Rape Trial in Vegas to Start Soon

0

Cristiano Ronaldo’s legal fight with a woman who accuses the international soccer star of raping her in his suite at a Las Vegas resort more than 10 years ago is heading toward a trial before a federal judge in Nevada.

No date was immediately set, but U.S. District Judge Jennifer Dorsey said she will hear arguments and decide herself whether Kathryn Mayorga was mentally fit to enter a 2010 hush-money agreement with Ronaldo’s representatives that paid Mayorga $375,000.

Ronaldo’s attorney, Peter Christiansen, declined Tuesday to comment.

Mayorga’s lawyers, led by Leslie Mark Stovall, did not immediately respond to email and telephone messages about the judge’s ruling, issued Sept. 30.

Dorsey wrote that a court should decide whether Mayorga “lacked the mental capacity” to sign a confidentiality arrangement with Ronaldo’s representatives and “whether any agreement … was ever formed between the parties.”

It was not immediately clear whether Ronaldo or Mayorga will have to be in court in person when a trial is held.

Dorsey gave both sides until the end of November to agree upon a plan for a bench trial.

Christiansen could appeal Dorsey’s order to the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. He declined to say if he will do so.

The ruling represents a setback for Ronaldo’s legal representatives, who have so far kept details of the 2010 settlement sealed. It moves back to a public court questions that U.S. Magistrate Judge Daniel Albregts said in February belonged behind closed doors.

U.S. district judges can overrule magistrate judges, who handle court filings and pretrial arguments.

Ronaldo, 35, lives in Portugal and is one of the richest athletes in the world. He plays in Italy for the Turin-based soccer club Juventus and captains his home country’s national team.

Mayorga, 37, is a former teacher and model who lives in the Las Vegas area. She claims in her lawsuit that Ronaldo or his associates violated the confidentiality agreement by allowing reports about it to appear in European publications in 2017. She seeks to collect at least $200,000 more from Ronaldo.

Ronaldo’s lawyers maintain that media reports were based on electronic data illegally hacked, stolen and sold by cyber criminals. They say they believe documents have been altered and complain that Mayorga’s lawsuit damages Ronaldo’s reputation.

Circa Resort and Casino – the Next Big Home for Poker Players

0

The US is no stranger to casinos. The state of Nevada’s largest city, Las Vegas, is a well-known casino town that’s visited by millions of people all over the world. This is great for the state as it increases its revenue. In the 2019 fiscal year casinos in the state racked up around $8.76 billion from casino-style gambling. Louisiana, the second state that allows gambling throughout its territory had revenue of $2.56 billion that generated tax revenue of $607.7 million.

Under Federal law, states can deal with casinos any way they see fit. There had been a struggle in the US to make online casinos legal. Eventually, states were allowed to regulate or prohibit online casinos as they saw fit. That’s why Nevada, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and others legalized online casinos. Since New Jersey was among the first, the state managed to get a gaming revenue of $265.4 million in April 2019.

The rise of casino sites in the US doesn’t seem to impact the popularity of land-based casinos. This makes the US a powerhouse when it comes to the availability of casino games not just to players in the country but to players all over the world. People in the US can find lots of places offline and online that meet their casino needs. In particular, poker players have it good because with just a few clicks they can access plenty of poker sites. If they feel the need to stretch their legs they can also visit any land-based casino and find a worthy opponent there.

The latest addition to the Las Vegas land-based casinos is the Circa Resort and Casino which is currently in construction. Steelman Partners are the company behind the construction and the building of this amazing casino began in February 2019. It’s a big project that has a lot to offer to the casino enthusiasts in the US and beyond.

Circa Resort and Casino will have 777 guest rooms that will take up the space of 44 floors. Additionally, a two-story casino will be made along with 5 restaurants. If this didn’t get your attention then the six-tiered pool area featuring a 125-foot screen sure will. Moreover, the pool will be temperature-controlled and will stay open all year round. Sports fans have been taken into consideration as well.

A three-story sportsbook is being built and it will be the biggest one in Vegas. It will be a stadium-style sportsbook that will include the Vegas Stats and Information Network. This makes it one of the top Vegas sportsbooks to wager in and might turn into the center of wagering downtown. This grand structure will also be accompanied by a parking garage called the Garage Mahal. This nine-story garage will have space for everyone staying there.

A two-story casino is something poker players dream of. Unfortunately, they’ll have to wait until October 2020 to get a chance to play. In the meantime, they can play real money poker online. There are lots of poker sites available and they make sure to offer all the variants of poker and more. Bonuses and promotions are things poker fans will run into as well. They can use them to their advantage but only if they play them right.

Since there are a couple of months left until they test their skills in the new casino they can use the time to brush up on their skills. Although others might disregard poker as just a card game, true poker fans know just how complex a game of poker can be. The human factor is one of the factors that come into play in a casino environment.

Being calculating and analytical is important in poker which is why you should practice a lot before going over at Circa Resort and Casino. Simple things like fear, greed, or insecurity can factor into a player’s decision. By analyzing the moves of the other players at the table you can conclude how each of them came to their decisions.

Everyone handles pressure differently. At the sign of a raise, some players might fold and that tells you a lot about their cards. Others might meet the raise which means they have a good hand. On the other hand, this could be a ruse and they could be bluffing. To make out a bluff from a confident move you’d have to watch them carefully make your decisions.

You should keep a cool head at all times. Psychology is what makes poker a popular game. Although its origins may be ancient, the human factor makes it a popular game today. With this information in mind, it’s clear that poker won’t lose popularity and will continue to be a game played in land-based and online casinos all over the globe.
