Miss Iraq Forced to Flee Over Selfie with Miss Israel

If two gorgeous Middle-Eastern beauty pageant winners can’t take selfies together, what is this world coming to? Well, Sarah Idan, Miss Iraq 2017 found out that sometimes selfies will get you death threats, especially if you take it with the equally gorgeous Miss Israel.

Idan and the Adar Gandelsman,  took a selfie together in Las Vegas and seemed to be having a great time. Neither one was trying to make a political point with the photo, just enjoying themselves. The sexy Iraqi didn’t think twice about posting the photo and was amazed she got any “blowback.”

Iraq and Israel do not currently have any formal diplomatic relations.

Idan says the backlash was so bad that she and her family were forced to flee the country. However, Idan says she does not have any regrets and refuses to delete the photo.

Miss Israel, Adar Gandelsman, said Idan did it “so that people can understand that it’s possible to live together,” she said.
