Brit Chef Claims David Copperfield Magic Gave Him Parkinson’s

A British Chef (No, not Gordon Ramsey) claims that he’s now completely brain damaged thanks to David Copperfield’s magic tricks and has brought a lawsuit against the magician and the MGM Casino for negligent magic.

According to the suit, Gavin Cox, visited Las Vegas in 2013 with his wife in for the “time of his life,” and was picked by random for a well-known trick that the famous magician does almost nightly. In the trick, several members of the audience “disappear” and re-appear at the other end of the theater as if by magic.

Cox claims that during the magic trick, he feel while going down a secret passage to complete the trick and dislocated this shoulder. He was taken the hospital and released immediately but now claims three years later that the dislocated shoulder turned into Parkinson’s, and he is forced to live in a bubble.

In the lawsuit, Cox says that since dislocating his shoulder he has been forced to move to Las Vegas for expensive treatment even though the National Health Service in the UK will provide it for free.
